Here are a few tips and considerations for merchandising OTC items that offer relief from flu symptoms.
Consider how many different ways people take medication.
A private label should be on your end-cap however while suffering from the flu people are apt to gravitate more to a highly advertised brand item.
First and foremost, create a sign that reads. "Flu Relief" It's Smart to Have it on Hand!
- Have symptom relief medication in the forms of tablets, gel-caps, powder mix, liquid, lozenges and nasal spray.
- Offer daytime, nighttime and combination day and nighttime choices.
- Display fever reducing medication in the forms of acetaminophen and ibuprofen.
- Keep the shelves filled.
- Have a clip strip of thermometers and medicine spoons.
- Bottom shelf can be Kleenex.
- Keep your Flu Prevention end-cap in close proximity to the relief display.
